Clearview AI is fined 20 million euros by Greek DPA

Clearview AI is fined 20 million euros for EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). violation by the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. The facial recognition company was banned from processing Greeks’ personal data and was ordered to delete any data collected related to the data subjects located in Greece. This decision originates from a previous complaint by the non-profit organization Homo Digitalis on behalf of a complainant who was not satisfied in relation to the right of access that she/he exercised before the aforementioned company.
