CNIL releases its initial recommendations on safeguarding AI data

France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), has released its inaugural guidelines for employing artificial intelligence technologies while upholding the privacy of personal data. These guidelines concentrate on both the legal and technical dimensions of AI utilization within the framework of adhering to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. They include establishing a lawful foundation for processing personal data via AI systems and conducting assessments for data reuse.
