Data breach suffered by Google Fi third-party service provider

A third-party system which stored “a limited amount” of customer data was breached, reported Google Fi, a mobile virtual network operator. Stolen data contained information such as account activation dates, information on specific mobile plans and SIM card serial numbers. An email mentioning no personally identifiable information was stolen was sent to  customers by the company. The company did not reveal the name of the third-party service provider that suffered the data breach.
