Ensuring health data to medical students fails to reach consensus

Last Thursday, two PS and BE projects were debated to modify the GDPR's Execution Law with the aim of ensuring that medical students and academic researchers have access to platforms and information systems where data is recorded. However, no consensus was reached with the other parties. "The bill appears as another step towards improving the education of medical students in our country, students who will be the future of health care provided by the National Health Service", pointed out the deputy socialist. The BE deputy justified the situation with the importance that the study of scientific research and medicine has had in recent times in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. “There is no reason why students who were at the forefront in the fight against Covid-19, including those who ensured the monitoring of Covid-19's issues, should not have access to this data today”, pointed the deputy. There was no decision on the project, with all parliamentary groups manifesting themselves in different ways on the issue.
