Google allows minors to request removal of searched images

It has been announced by Google that they will allow minors to request the removal of their searched images from their search results. According to a Google blog post, both minors and their parents may request that images from search results are removed by filling out a form where it will be possible to identify the image that is intended to be removed. Once the order has been placed, the Google team will review it on a case-by-case basis and clarify any additional information the company may need to verify that the image meets all the requirements for removal. If the order is deferred, users will be notified once the image is removed. "We believe that this change will give young people more control over their digital footprint, particularly regarding their images that can be found in the search bar," said Google in the same blog post.
