Inquiry of the Google AI model has been launched by the Data Protection Commission

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has launched a cross-border inquiry into Google Ireland Ltd. to examine whether the company conducted the necessary Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), as required by GDPR Article 35[2], before processing EU/EEA personal data for its AI project, Pathways Language Model 2.
