New proposal for an adequacy decision for the transfer of data to the US

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) issued, on 28 February, the Opinion 5/2023 on the European Commission's proposal for an adequacy decision on the level of data protection provided by the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) between the EU and the US.

In this opinion, the EDPB identifies improvements to the US legal framework, reveals its concerns on some aspects and asks for clarifications from the European Commission.
