Spanish and Portuguese Data Protection Authorities Express Concerns Over Escalating Digital Violence

The National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) of Portugal and the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) have issued alarming statements regarding the rise in cyberviolence. The authorities emphasise the significance of a safe digital environment and the urgent necessity for coordinated actions to confront this growing threat.  They urge everyone to cooperate in resisting cyber risks and push for more awareness, preventive measures, and education to encourage responsible online behaviour. In order to successfully address the issues raised by digital violence and give online user protection first priority, both authorities commit to increase their cooperation.
