The Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) issues a reminder to organizations to promptly report any data breaches

The Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), has issued guidance on the reporting of data breaches. Referring to its annual report, which revealed that it dealt with over 25,000 data breach reports affecting 20 million individuals in 2023, the AP emphasized the obligation of organizations to notify individuals if their data might be compromised following a cyberattack.
